.再论“景观设计学”之于“风景园林”

摘　要：关于Landscape architecture学科和名称之争论，必须从内容理解和中西文的名称翻译两方面来澄清。对LA的混乱认识，绝不仅仅是翻译问题。中国的园林或风景园林的职业范围客观上远不如国际LA，两者不可等同；而

而主观上的“唯审美”论，是中国风景园林学科发展的主要障碍；唯艺术论，使许多人士陶醉于园林国粹，只见树木不见森林；将专业及学科混同于行政管理行业，导致对LA专业性的认识不足；LA的名称问题必须从学科发展和语境来认识，字典和《大百科全书》不能告诉我们一个蓬勃发展的学科的名称。解决之道在于走向土地和景观的完整设计。必须尊重中国社会对一些关键词的约定俗成，用历史发展观认识：LA的过去叫园林或风景园林，LA的现在叫“景观设计学”，LA的未来是“土地设计学”。

Landscape Architecture in Terms of The Wholeness of Land

Abstract:The paper argues that landscape architecture should take land as a whole, the deep meaning of LA is Land design, which differs it from the traditional concept of landscape gardening. The current understanding of LA in China is limited to landscape gardening, which is harmful in facing the overwhelming process of urbanization and dramatic land change across the vast country. This paper therefore calls for a revolutionary rethinking of the profession and education of LA in China.

　　编者按：学科名称之争伴随我们度过了20世纪80年代，20世纪90年代又兴起了译名之争。我刊已发表过不少文章共同探讨。现今，虽然仍然各执一词，一时难于统一，可是对于学科的内涵和领域已在讨论中逐渐澄清。可见这种讨论是学科建设和发展所必要的。时至今日，我刊本着学会主流的意愿，对学科现用名更加自信。我们希望业内同仁将努力开拓和实践作为首务、不要让名称问题占去过多的心力。因此，本期发表俞孔坚教授的答辩文章和本刊编委的审阅意见后，暂作歇息。
