随着社会的不断进步与发展，我国建筑业也在飞速的发展。目前，钢结构工程已经成为建筑业的热门话题，它标志着建筑业的又一次进步。奥林匹克公园多功能演播塔就是纯钢结构的工程，它作为2008年奥运会期间特权转播商的电视演播室遵循“绿色奥运、科技奥运、人文奥运”的宗旨；它的设计吸取了中国传统建筑文化中塔的元素，用钢结构和玻璃幕墙等先进技术和现代手笔抽象表达出轻盈、玲珑、剔透、塔的特征。奥林匹克公园多功能演播塔钢结构工程属于既轻又高的结构类型，在施工过程中，分别从钢结构的安装、焊接、测量、变形等方面进行施工，保证结构质量及工期，为2008奥运会作好准备。
