学校老师叫我们做一个关于水的作业,请问大家能帮忙吗
?Water-related Assignments Background:

Fact: Water is essential to all life.
Fact: Two thirds of the earth’s surface is covered with water, but 97% of that water is saline. Of the 3% of the world’s water supply considered “fresh”, only 1% is readily available for human use.
Fact: Although water is considered a renewable resource, the world’s supply of fresh, clean water is steadily decreasing since the world population continues to increase and with it, water demand.
Fact: We depend on water for life.
Conclusion: We are stewards of this earth, and it is our responsibility to keep our water pure and safe for our use, and the use of future generations. “Water Conservation” means using our water wisely and caring for it properly.

The Project:

Each student will prepare a poster that examines a water problem or issue. This problem or issue can be at Seneca College (at any one of the Colleges four main campuses at Newnham, York, Markham and King; for example, water wastage at the College); it can be a regional problem (for example, Great Lakes water quality and beaches closing); it can be a national problem or issue (for example, water quality impacts on fishery resources); or, it can be an international issue (for example, water scarcity in Africa or the USA). After identifying the problem or issue, each student will then relate this to his/her program of study and suggest a plan of action for Seneca College that could correct or mitigate the root cause of the problem (for example, a BST student might examine the use of waterless urinals at Newnham Campus; an EMT student may explore low water demand landscaping at King Campus; a Civil student might investigate the use of soak-away pits around the parking lots at Newnham Campus to reduce flooding).

The poster will:
a) Explain the nature of the problem/issue/opportunity;
b) Identify the magnitude/severity/upside of the problem/issue/opportunity;
c) Describe the prognosis (what could happen if the problem/issue/opportunity is not addressed);
d) Propose a solution or corrective action: what can students do? What can Seneca do? How will this benefit Ontario/Canada/the global environment?

Pick an issue of personal interest or significance to you. “Think globally; Act locally”. Be creative with your proposed solution or corrective action, and identify what action you are proposing; where you are proposing this action to occur; who will implement the action; when and how this will take place; and, why you are proposing this solution.

Note, if you choose, the topic you select for your poster presentation can also be expanded for your Term Project.
