The AISC Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Specification for Structural
Steel Buildings is intended t oo o o o office cover the c mm n design criteria in r utine
practice. Acc rdingly, it is n t feasible t o o o also c ver the many special and unique
o f structural design practice. This AISC problems enc untered within the full range

one such t pic: the design and c nstructi n o o o of structural steel and c mp site structural
steel/reinf rced c ncrete building systems in seismic regi ns. These Pr visi ns are
