Houston is a commuter city without zoning and is prone to flooding. Midtown Park is expected to become a central park with a variety of multifunctional spaces that can host various activities and projects such as markets and festivals, adding a sense of community.

Midtown Park经过轻轨铁路,公园将停车位、自然、艺术、雨水滞留和社区聚集区结合在一起,成为休斯顿“最适合步行的社区”的首选目的地。
Midtown Park provides parking space, nature, art, rainwater retention and community Ghetto. The park combines these elements together to become the preferred destination for Houston's "most walkable community".

In order to support the Zhongcheng strategic plan and open space plan, the park has designed diverse spaces that attract people of all ages.

位于中心位置的大型多功能草坪,草坪缓缓倾斜,面向毗邻舞台的“雨水喷泉”。
Utilizing a large multifunctional lawn located in the center, the lawn gently tilts towards the adjacent stage's "rainwater fountain".

设计不仅响应了休斯顿的酷热天气。静水池靠近舞台,白天一层薄薄的水为主要广场区域降温,在晚上则成为点缀性的艺术元素。
The design of the park not only responds to the scorching weather in Houston. The still pool is close to the stage, and a thin layer of water cools the main square area during the day, and becomes an ornamental Elements of art at night.

water channels run through the site to mimic the native landscape
公园设计的主要特征是“河口”的整合,这是一个人工建造的水道和滞留系统,它模仿了休斯顿的天然河口、沼泽、洼地硬木森林和湿地。
The main feature of park design is the integration of the 'estuary', which is an artificially constructed waterway and detention system that mimics Houston's natural estuaries, swamps, lowland hardwood forests, and wetlands.

雨水被收集并储存在一个7万加仑的地下蓄水池中。水用于灌溉植物材料或作为再循环的Midtown Bayou的补充水。
Rainwater is collected and stored in a 70000 gallon underground reservoir. Water is used for irrigating plant materials or as a 'supplement' to recycled Midtown Bayou water.
