While the American new urbanism movement unified under the banner of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU), British urbanists have developed some organizations promoting urbanism. British are taking their own ways on urban development. Although they are similar in a number of points, there are still some different features.

China has shown some new departure to practice the new urbanism in the tide of rapid development and overspread in cities. As it appears more interests in real estate than academe at present, will the American concept become blindness copy and commercial vendition or future mode of city development in future China? it is a moot question.
